Minnesota Zoo "Where Amazing Lives" :30 spot

My super talented team and I got the pleasure of spending a fun-filled, if hard-working day at the Minnesota Zoo this Spring. Our objective was to create the latest and best-ever spot to show off the experiences that the Zoo offers.

Challenges: We had a single day to shoot this piece and the zoo was open for business the whole time! It was quite a day, but we got it done and are proud of the results.

PaddleBoards for C4 Waterman: Oahu, Hawaii

This Spring I traveled to Oahu for C4 Waterman to document their paddleboards for a refresh of the website and marketing for 2016.

Hawaii is such a gorgeous place, and with happy, beautiful people to photograph, we had a great week of shooting in the sunshine.  Many thanks to my wonderful crew and to C4 for trusting me with this responsibility! 

Genesis Archery: GenX Bow branding material

Genesis Archery, the youth division of Mathews Bows contacted me to create some branding material for a new bow model they have released. We spent a fine fall day in the outdoors fake deer hunting and practicing target archery.  If you've got a teen or woman whose draw weight maxes out at 40lbs, this model would be a great fit. UFC (MMA) fighters for AMERICAN ETHANOL

This last October I partnered with American Ethanol (and agency: Fresh Produce) to direct and shoot three :30 spots.  AE sponsors a good number of UFC fighters and I got to work with some of their more accomplished athletes.

Luke Rockhold (above) just clinched the UFC middleweight championship title in a very decisive win over his opponent. It was a bloody battle, not for the weak stomached!

Ryan Bader (below) is fighting later this month for his chance at the middle heavyweight champion spot. In short, these guys are no joke -- some of the best fighters in the world. It was an honor to work alongside them.

Challenges: We had VERY limited time with most of these athletes and were not able to choose specifics like time-of-day to shoot like we typically would. We also had several last minute location changes to juggle. My whole team was 100% engaged when it was time to shoot and we were able to get what we needed in minimal time. Big ups to them all!

My team and I shot these three pieces over 4 days in Santa Cruz, San Hose and Phoenix. From sunrise sessions on the beach to sunsets in the Arizona desert, we chased these guys around to show that much like you and I, we're all more than what we appear.

Daniel Cormier, (below) is an Olympic wrestler and current middle heavyweight champion.

I guess we weren't the first to do a video with Daniel...

These commercials are part of a bigger social media push from AE entitled #MoreThanAFuel. Dig around on social outlets if you're a UFC fan and I'm sure you'll see some fun stuff.

Promo Video: Kinetic Trainers

Minnesota based, Adventure Advertising contacted me to help them introduce a new product to the market for Kinetic Cycling trainers.  For those who've trained indoors on a stationary cycle trainer, you know it is not the most fun method of getting strong. This latest tech from Kinetic aims to make the experience more fun and rewarding.

Indoor training season looms - so check this out if you're already dreading the basement pain sessions.

Challenges: We had 2 locations about 1 hr drive apart, so we had to split the shoot up. What should have been a 2-day shoot was conducted in 1.5 for budgetary reasons. It was very difficult and we barely pulled it off, but we got the footage we needed!
